If you don't have a cooked sweet potato/ bacon/brussel sprouts. Cook it/these ingredients in your preferred manner. (Steamed, in the oven, microwave, stove top)
If you are cooking the above items, let them cool as you prepare the rest of your salad
Rinse and cut your lettuce of choice and place in a bowl
Cut and dice your sweet potato and bacon and top.
Toss in your brussel sprouts, cheese and garlic and mix your salad.
Top with your preferred dressing (I used deli mustard, but balsamic vinegar and oil would be a good choice, as well!)
If you are low on time, sweet potatoes in particular can be quickly cooked in the microwave. Make sure to stab the exterior all around with a fork and then cook for ~5 minutes. You will know it is done when it can be easily stabbed with a fork. It will be very hot straight out of the microwave. Let cool for a few minutes before handling. It should peel very easily out of its skin.
